Wouw, can Hackers intercept Vonage?

I was just finished using Skype, since with a paid subscription, all the calls to the continental US are free. The good part of using Internet phone is that, by using my headset, I can call while looking at my online information hands free. I don’t need to use the speaker phone feature of my cellphone, which could introduce feedback noise to the line. In addition, even though I thought that there must be some encryption features in the cellphone, I’m still wondering if it really works and no one with a good scanner could listen to the conversation. IP Phone give some thought of better security than cellphone, I think. The only trouble using the Internet Phone like Skype is, if I call someone that have a Caller ID features or call their cellphone, I need to explain to them why the number is different or facing the risk they don’t pick up my phone since they don’t recognize the number.
Well, not until today. As soon as I finished my conversation, I saw an email from ZDnet Must Read Newsalert pop-up at the bottom right corner of my computer screen. This particular headline caught my attention. Security firm: Hackers can divert Vonage calls. I have signed up for another Voip, but since they don’t have the E911 in my area, so they told me to get my refund and wait until they could get E911 in my area. I have considered Vonage before, but with this news I think I would rather wait for a while and will hope there shouldn’t be any problems with my Skype or Voitel. What do you guys think?
