Would Vitamin D Prevent Cancer Death?

by drt on October 16, 2009

The following Sunday Housecall video was in one of the postings that I voluntarily taken down from my site last week. However, since I saw this other video from UCSD that once again described the benefits of vitamin D, particularly in preventing cancer death, I then decided to repost this video here without any link to any particular vitamin products or vendors. After all, this is a video that is available on a public domain and doesn’t promote any particular brand. (Thank Foxnews/Housecall to make these videos shareable!)

Here is the new information from the UCSD site with the following introduction that has prompted me to share it with you here:

In a new study, researchers at the UCSD School of Medicine and Moores Cancer Center used a complex computer prediction model to determine that intake of vitamin D3 and calcium would prevent 58,000 new cases of breast cancer and 49,000 new cases of colorectal cancer annually in the US and Canada. The researchers’ model also predicted that 75% of deaths from these cancers could be prevented with adequate intake of vitamin D3 and calcium.

Hope these videos would provide you with more questions to ask when you go to see your doctor next time. ***
