Who are going to live there?

Yesterday I had a chance to walk along Biscayne Boulevard in Miami, stop at the Bayside Marketplace, then take a Powerboat tour cruising Biscayne Bay. Among others I saw so many beautiful resisdences at the seaside as well as the tremendous construction of the skycrapers in town.

Today I had a chance to stop by one of the Guest House near a famous celebrity’s home across the bridge to Miami Beach side. Looking back from the backyard toward all the skycrapers across the water in the mainland made me wonder, who are going to fill up all those skycrapers? There would be plenty of apartments available soon, in the range of couple thousand units, particularly from so many new constructions there.

Here are some of the pictures I took yesterday.

Some of the pictures were taken when the boat was in full speed. There results are not what I wanted to see but at least they still show the images.

Anyone interested to become the owner of one of the skycrapers? Yes, I mean the whole building, not a unit of apartment.

Also wonder, was these new construction driven by a high demand of new apartments or was that simply because of the lowest interest rate in the past few years?

there’s quite a few empty bldings in downtown San Diego. don’t know about FL, but in CA it takes about 4 yrs from concept to finished product. in that time, the market has changed drastically.

even though i own several homes, i’m renting my residence because it doesn’t make sense to own a home in CA.
