Let’s say a grandpa or a grandma comes to you and says, ‘You’ve just talked about visual satellite observation. If I want to show those satellites to my grandkid, what shall I do?’
If they’ve come to ask me, I would be tempted to say, just go to check my blog, and look for the link to the Online Tutorial. But wait, the main reason why did I start all these was due to the fact that there were too much info on the Internet. Asking a grandpa or grandma to go to check my blog would be the same as sending them to a jungle without any navigation tools and and let them get lost there. This idea have been lingering in the back of my mind in the past few days.
The other day, I was asking a question on how to transfer a domain name to the Tech Support. The answer came back that if I want to transfer my domain name then I have to follow a step-by-step procedure. After 4 iterations without any luck, I read through the whole procedure again and came to the conclusion that the steps 1-4 were simply asked me to buy another domain so I have a place to do the transfer, then I have to go to two other links in the FAQ site, one to complete the transfer and the other to cancel the dummy domain name. Needless to say, I was so mad when I realized that fact. In my other life, following the steps in procedures should be as easy as 1-2-3 and anyone should be able to do it without using their brain. No ambiguity, every thing must be stated clearly. Definitely this Tech Support needs some feedback.
I don’t have the answer yet, but any one that would come up with the simple steps for grandpa or grandma without telling the grandpa or grandma to install a satellite tracking software in their computer would certainly be appreciated.
