I was puzzled.
Two days ago when I put the link in my last post to Robert E. Kowalski’s book on his website, the link worked fine. Yesterday when I clicked on that link, I got a “DNS error – cannot find the server” message saying the link appears to be broken.
At first I thought, maybe the website was down. I was thinking of emailing Robert last night, particularly to discuss with him my experience with L-arginine that I’ve mentioned in my last post. But I have emailed and called the L-arginine company, and I need to find time to put all the info together before emailing him.
Yesterday morning I got another call from the L-arginine company, telling me that if I take fiber and fish oil, then the L-arginine will rush down my digestive track the way I described in my last post. However, since I mentioned the pills were floated, he added that the content of the pill must have been dissolved into my body. He also suggested to cut the pill in half before I take it.
During lunch, I told my colleague the story, then pulled out the pills and threw one into a glass full of water. The pill was not floating, instead it sunk like a rock. I then drank the water after swallowing the pill.
That gentleman from the L-arginine company was so nice and offered to refund my money during our conversation. I told him there is no need to do that since I bought it around the end of 2007 and I was simply looking for an answer on how to make it work for me to lower my blood pressure without prescription drugs as described in Robert’s book.
Actually, back at the time that I bought the L-arginine, I had exchanged emails with Robert, and those emails are still in my archive. For example, here is the last email with a time stamp of Fri 10/19/2007 8:51 PM that said:
First, your BP is definitely in the range that can be controlled very nicely, brought down to the low 120s range, with the use of the SR arginine in combo with the Lyc-O-Mato or the MegaNatural-BP. But the sleep, relaxation, and deep breathing definitely come into play and if you don’t do those things, then perhaps the supplements alone won’t do the trick.
Bear in mind it’ll take 6 to 8 weeks to see the positive response you’re looking for.
No, no one ever approached me about doing an Indonesian version. Dubious that the book would do well there anyway.
Now it’s time for me to turn my computer off and join my wife for dinner. I’ve been on the road all week and have been trying madly to catch up today before heading back to the airport on Monday.
Bob
Last night, in order to find more info about the broken link, I went back to google again. By the time I completed typing the words ‘robert e kowalski’ in google search box, something that bothered me showed up as an option in the drop down window from google tool bar that reads: ‘robert e kowalski death.’
Once again, goose bumps ran down my spine.
I went ahead to click on that option, then looking at these two links:
- Medical journalist and best-selling author Robert E. Kowalski remembered 2007-11-21, and
- Wikipedia page of Robert E. Kowalski.
He’s gone!
Did you notice what he mentioned in his email above?
“But the sleep, relaxation, and deep breathing definitely come into play and if you don’t do those things, then perhaps the supplements alone won’t do the trick.”
He was very upset because one of my email was sent very late at night. That’s why when I talked to him over the phone, he suggested to turn off my computer and go to bed early the way he described at the end of his email shown above.
Now, the loss became so real and so personal and I was speechless.
Quoting the last sentence on the Wikipedia page:
Kowalski died November 9, 2007 in Southern California at the age of 65 from a pulmonary aneurysm.
Missed you Bob! Your legalcy will stay forever!

I wonder what Robert Kowalski thought of “stem cell research”?
I always had great respect for his insight and research.
