Pine Bark, CoQ-10 and Omega-3 videos

In today’s program finally Dr. Izzy has touched the topic of supplements that I have been waiting for a long time. I don’t know why, but Dr. Izzy’s info seems to be a little behind what we as consumers have already known from other sources. May be Dr. Izzy has not found those references yet. 😆

In the first video here, you may watch Dr. Izzy talks about pycnogenol which is a natural plant extract from the bark of the maritime pine tree (and is one of the ingredients of OPC-3 that I take daily.)

In the second video, Dr. Issy discusses the difference between CoQ-10 and Omega-3. Note that Dr. Izzy didn’t specifically mention these particular brand in the links, however, these are the two supplements that I also take daily.

Thanks to Foxnews that has let us embedded these videos here. I hope one day in the near future, Dr. Izzy will come up with more info on the power of Pyconogenol, CoQ-10 and Omega-3 that have been widely available on the Internet or in the videos that we can find in youtube.

Dr. Izzy is right on with regard to Omega 3 – it is one of the best things us Americans can do. The main reason for this is to offset the omega 6 levels. We get way too much Omega 6 and not enough omega 3. The best quality of the Omega 3 is the anti inflammatory qualities.

I agree with Dan, we do need more Omega 3 in our diet and I think in the near future we will see more things with omega 3 in it.

I had dinner with a nutritionist today and she said even though I have high cholestoral I should still take fish oil. I don’t believe her so I am going to ask my doctor. She owns a health company but I will still check with my doc.

Of course you need to talk to your doctor, but please also check this article of Prof. Paul Zane Pilzer. There is something new out there that wasn’t there 10-15 years ago. It will surprise you.
