Two things came to mind when I watched this Dr. Izzy’s video last Sunday morning.
- First, I knew I have to let a friend watching this video, since Dr. Izzy said, taking Omega-3 could prevent a sudden cardiac death, etc.
- Second, I was glad that out of 4 supplements recommended by Dr. Izzy, 3 are on the list of supplements that I take daily.
But first, let’s watch the video.
The only supplement in the video that is not in my daily supplement list is Aspirin. You may find that I have mentioned repeatedly about Omega 3, Vitamin D and Resveratrol in this blog. Too bad that Dr. Izzy didn’t include oligomeric proanthocyanidins (OPC-3®) or Pycnogenol in the list even though new research results such as this one on Grapes, Wines, Resveratrol and Heart Health which just came out few days ago and has this to say about resveratrol and pycnogenol:
The cardioprotective effect of wine has been attributed to both components of wine; the alcoholic portion and more importantly, the alcohol-free portion containing antioxidants. Wines are manufactured from grapes, which also contain a large variety of antioxidants including resveratrol, catechin, epicatechin and proanthocyanidins. Resveratrol is mainly found in the grape skin, while proanthocyanidins are found only in the seeds. Recent studies have demonstrated that resveratrol and proanthocyanidin are the major compounds present in grapes and wines responsible for cardioprotection.
However, since Dr. Izzy is suggesting to take Resveratrol here, I hope one day he would also add Isotonix OPC-3® or oligomeric proanthocyanidins into his list. As you may see in one of the video, Dr. Izzy has explained about the benefits of Pain Bark Extract. I hope you enjoy the video. 🙂
Disclaimer: In addition to Dr. Izzy’s disclaimer on Trade name mentioned in his video, I’d like to add that Dr. Izzy has nothing to do with all the products I posted in my blog.
