The other day, my friend Amy pulled out her brand new iPad and showed me how easy it was to navigate the Internet. I love all the convenience minus the keypad. But I’m not sure, if I would add an iPad to my bag of gadgets soon.
For a long time, I have resisted the temptation to add BB or other cellphone based Internet access for a very simple reason. My phone bills without those gadget is already high, thus adding the subscription fee was not the issue here. The problem however, without BB, my spare times have mostly been spent on the Internet. I have just listened to Dennis Franks’s CD in my car on my way to gym this morning, and he wasn’t happy if we spent too much time for unproductive activities on the Internet. I imagine, he would kick my b**t if I spent too much time surfing the Internet aimlessly. Now, if I have this extra gadget so I can peek into my mailbox while sitting on toilet and the BB ring or I can use the iPad to peek the FB, then when would I have some free time that would really unhook me from the Internet?
Honestly, I understood. It’s a real temptation. Particularly that light weight and that wider screen. I mean if you compare the iPad with those of a BB for example. If I think about the iPad that Amy showed me, I got the feeling like being in Miami beach during a sunny day of the spring break. That is scary. 
But again, that is me!
