Heart Attack Information From Dr. Rosenfeld - A Tribute to Tim Russert

American mourned the passing of Tim Russert last week.

I don’t know much about Tim except seeing his face from time to time while surfing the channels. However, judging from the tributes on the networks or the Internet both from the left and right, and the re-ran of the review of his Best Sellers on various channels few days after his death, I could tell Tim was a respected journalists, author, and father. Even though he was a former Democratic Party operative, many people from the other side up to President Bush attended the wake and paid their respects.

Prior to Tim’s tragic and sudden death, I have been preaching that if someone you know complaint about chest pain, you need to dial 911 no matter what s/he was saying. It’s better to err on the side of caution.

In December 2006, I wrote about the passing of my former colleague and a dear friend, Dr. Junibakti Sanubari at the peak of his carrier. Few weeks ago, a friend from my home town passed away due to heart attack while she was praying the Rosary with her local community. Last week, a close friend P had a successful bypass surgery, since his daughter could drive him to the ER as soon as he felt it. Up to that point I always thought there was only one cardiovascular disease that really need our attention otherwise it may kill you, and that was a heart attack. It was hard for me to accept the fact that two of my close friends, both were professor of physics at a medical school got heart attacks. I wanted to put the blame of the lack of facilities and heart health information back in my old home town. But even here in the U.S., with all the modern facilities, something may go wrong too.

According to news report, Tim Russert had just successfully passed his treadmill stress test last April. Doctor missed to pick up the killer signature from the chart of his heart beats etc. I would like to share with you here the Foxnews Health Video on Heart Attack Information, which was presented few days after Tim passed away. It’s a tribute to Tim from Dr. Rosenfeld and let’s learn more about the sudden death and heart attack from this tragedy, and wish Tim’s soul to rest in peace.
