Evil Creativity of John Chow

Many times he called himself the root of all evil. But I always amazed of what his evil creativity has produced. He just made a campaign of Helping to feed the hungers this easter and in less than a day he has already collected more than $200 that he will match with his own money up to $500.
I become interested in monetizing the blog simply to support some of my charity works such as helping friends with their websites etc without pulling out from my own pocket. I remember when I solicited money to help Lukas mBira in 2005, my friends and I here in the U.S. could only managed to collect somewhere around $300 for an operations that cost more than US$10,000. Fortunately the Singaporean team picked up the tag, but since then I have received numerous requests to help with this type of charity work. The only problem I see was that after Tsunami, Katrina, Rita and all the disasters, I could sense some sort of donation fatigue in people’s face. Not only that, I also receiving many complaints from some of the people closer to me when the news was published in local paper back there. Why do I need to help someone else while many of my own folks also need help? That have slowed me down a bit. In the mean time, I keep doing the work on the Internet that would not cost me a lot except my time to help my friends’ works.
Looking at what John Chow has done so far in his charity campaign, I think blogging is a good vehicle. However, they key is the traffics to his blog. He has such a wonderful readers that keep waiting for his evil creativity to rise their Technorati ranking up via the links he offered or to learn few more “evil” tricks to make money over the Internet like him or simply read his blog for its contents. Either way, I rank him as a very successful blogger with an army of loyal readers.
Currently, I’m still looking for a way to help my friend CaptainB with his Roslin Orphanage kids. Last year he took 15 Singaporean students to help the people around his orphanage and all the works have been well documented in Mr. Sanguine’s blog, Mona’s blog part 1-3, in a series of West Timor - Expediting Kupang up to part 16 and other links that I placed in Rosalin Orphanage Blog sidebar. This April CaptainB is going to bring people from Singapore again, and if you check the Roslin Orphanage blog, there were people from Australia to Canada and other countries that have helped the orphanage including teaching English to the children there. The blog has not been updated recently, since CaptainB and I are in the process of transferring it to a new site donated by a friend in Denmark. They don’t have Greymatter in that particular webhosting and we are in the process of learning the WordPress so we can switch it over from Greymatter archive. Any suggestion on how to Import the Greymatter archive to this new site would be appreciated.
If you have gone this far, please don’t forget to visit his old Roslin Orphanage blog to see how my friend’s good works have driven me to spend long hours here thinking on how to increase my traffic and to have a good loyal readers like John Chow’s.

It is great what John Chow is doing. I remember a few months back Daren Rowse doing something as well. I believe it was something to do with chickens.
Yeah John Chow is really good at thinking of ways to make money. That happens when you have a lot of free time and have people working for you (as in TTZ).

I think that’s what people say, let’s money works for you and you then become the master of money (may be like Master Chao
). Too bad that most of us are the slaves of money, and the only thing we can do is to exchange our time and our freedom with money.
