Emotional roller coaster

I have been in an emotional roller coaster in the past few days especially after last night events.

Talked to my friend in Washington State today, and she suggested to put a permanent link so new visitors could follow the story of baby Gratia from the beginning. OK, I will think about it but for the time being, if you’re a new visitor, please click the link of Letter from A Father  to read the story of baby Gratia. I just realized tonight that the English word for Gratia is Grace.

I also have a chat with my friend in Boston this afternoon and he promised to follow up with his church in Jakarta tonight (yes, tonight when they are already tomorrow morning over there.) When I mentioned to Winston over the phone few moment ago about my friend, Winston said that after my call last night, his wife Desy told him that my friend was an alumnus of Desy’s seminary. She had met my friend back then in Jakarta when my friend was throwing a welcome party to the alumni of the seminary at his church. What a coincidence!

Winston sounded more calm tonight after I talked to him about the email from Boston last night. Baby Gratia was doing fine, with a little coughing problem. He also mentioned that they also had a chance to get a first hand information about baby Gratia’s condition from a cardiologist, Dr. Tommy Tiluwata and that really helped. Someone from Bolelebo mailing list has mentioned this doctor’s name since he was from my hometown.

Winston and I were counting and it’s five more days before they would go to see Dr. Poppy Roebiono, the Pediatric Cardiologist from Harapan Kita National Cardiovascular Center.

I asked Winston what he really needs from the visitors of this site. His only request was for your prayers for baby Gratia. Well, I wish he would have asked more than that, and I could only hope that by Monday next week, all the processes with the donors would have been completed and baby Gratia would finally be scheduled for her surgery. Let’s keep our fingers crossed.
