Yesterday, Dr. Steven Lamm was on Foxnews, explaining this possible breakthrough on Alzheimers using a new testing method. As Foxnews anchor Megyn Kelly pointed it out, Charlston Heston has just passed away after a long battle with Alzheimers, the same illness also suffered by other famous people like President Reagan, film stars Charles Bronson etc. But of course, Alzheimer affects people from all walks of life. Many relatives and friends of mine have had to go through all the pains and heart ache of caring for someone with Alzheimer in their families.
While all these new findings do not alleviate the problems of people that have an advanced stage of Alzheimer, Dr. Lamm mentioned in the video that an early diagnosis means a possibility for early intervention either through lifestyles change, nutritions changes or even medications. This is a finding that down the road may give the potential Alzheimer patients some 6- 8 years ahead, which in turn will give them a chance to intervene before the Alzheimer goes into an advance stage and becomes more resistant to any outside intervention.
For those who don’t know, Dr. Steven Lamm is also the author of the Hardness Factor, with the following teaser in its website:
Hard is good, harder is better — for your health, your libido, your life. Such is the provocative premise behind Dr. Steven Lamm’s The Hardness Factor, a ground- breaking book that will change the way men live and love. The Hardness Factor measures male health through the quality of an erection — perhaps the greatest male motivator for better living (more so than fear of cancer, heart attack, or stroke).
Barnes and Nobles listed the biography of Dr. Lamm as follows:
Steven Lamm, M.D., known to millions as the doctor on The View, is a practicing internist and faculty member at New York University School of Medicine, where he also had his clinical training and received his medical degree.
A panel physician for the New York State Athletic Commission, Dr. Lamm regularly offers his analyses and comments on a wide variety of health- and medical-related topics on television and radio, including Oprah and Lifetime Today. He has written, with Gerald Secor Couzens, several books, including the bestseller Thinner at Last. Dr. Lamm lives in New York City.
One thing Barnes and Noble site didn’t mention was, Dr. Lamm is also a Clinical Faculty and nutraMetrix® Advisory Board Member where part of his bio says:
The son of a physician and a practicing internist in New York City for 30 years, Dr. Steven Lamm observed early in life the art of healing and the importance of educating his patients with a duty to communicate to the public. Dr. Lamm developed a highly devoted patient following with a focus on wellness, nutritional interventions, weight management, and men’s sexual health. As a a principal investigator, he evaluated the role of nutraceuticals, including Pcynogenol, in men’s sexual health and, as a co-investigator, numerous pharmacologic trials….[read more]
That’s why if you look at the video, it seems that at the end Dr. Lamm still wanted to explain about the use of nutritions but time was running out. I just hope that the new testing will give the potential Alzheimer patients, including me
and who knows, may be you, to do something before it’s too late. That’s what prompted me to share this video with you.
