A Free Laptop or Bowls of Rice

This came across my mind while holding the empty plate after my lunch today. Yes, I’ve lunch at home, alone. 
The other day after reading John Chow’s posting on Give One Get One free laptop program, I posted in my Indonesian blog about the program. But while finishing my lunch today and looking at the empty plate, suddenly the pictures from this particular page of Roslin Orphanage blog came to mind.
What is your choice if you’ve an option to give free laptops to 10 children or using the same amount of money to feed 10 villages?
